European Networks and Study Visits

EU Flag

Working closely with Germany's Federal Agency for Civic Education the SDSA is facilitating the Hard to Reach Learners (HTR) Focus Group. This brings together professionals, academics, reseachers and practitioners together from across the EU. This group pulls together strategies, practical ideas and resources for engaging with hard to reach learners, with a particular focus on citizenship education, both in formal and informal settings. The group has recently published its first book and has also produced a short animation to explain the concept of citzenship education.

The SDSA has been hosting study visits for European teachers and education officers who are interested in learning about equality and diversity in schools and the wider community. These study visits offer a blended experience of expert talks and school visits. Leicester, being one of the most diverse cities in the UK, offers a perfect opportunity for for these international visitors.
